The Municipal Sewage Chamber Filter Press adopts hydraulic compression + pressure feeding filtration principle to realize efficient solid-liquid separation of urban sewage sludge, completed in four continuous steps.
The hydraulic system drives the oil cylinder to push the tail plate forward, tightly compressing all chamber filter plates between the head plate and tail plate. Sealed hollow filter chambers are formed between adjacent filter plates, providing closed space for sludge filtration.
Municipal sludge is pumped into each filter chamber through the large-caliber DN200 feed inlet. Under stable feeding pressure, water in sludge penetrates filter cloth and flows out from the liquid outlet, while solid particles are intercepted by filter cloth and gradually accumulate inside the chambers to form filter cake.
With continuous feeding, filter cake thickens gradually. The high-pressure hydraulic system maintains stable compression force to ensure tight sealing of filter plates. Fine organic particles and suspended solids in municipal sludge are fully trapped, achieving thorough dewatering under constant pressure.
After finishing filtration, the hydraulic system retracts the oil cylinder. The plate-pulling device pulls filter plates open one by one. Under gravity, dewatered dry filter cake falls off automatically, completing one working cycle. Cleaning ports are used for regular residue flushing to prevent pipeline blockage.
This mechanical pressure-filtration structure is highly targeted at high-organic, fine-particle municipal sludge, featuring stable dewatering effect, low moisture filter cake and clear filtrate, perfectly meeting urban sewage treatment requirements.
● Before starting the Municipal Sewage Chamber Filter Press, check whether all filter plates are neatly arranged and filter cloth is flat, intact and free of folds or damage to avoid sludge leakage.
● Inspect hydraulic oil level, oil quality and pipeline tightness of the Filter Press; replenish oil or replace it if deteriorated.
● Confirm feeding pump pressure is stable; do not start the equipment with empty load for a long time.
● Check electrical control system, sensors and emergency stop function to ensure normal operation.
● Ensure all cleaning ports and discharge ports are unobstructed before feeding municipal sludge.
● Control feeding pressure strictly within the rated range (≤0.6 MPa) to prevent excessive pressure from damaging filter plates and filter cloth of the Filter Press.
● Do not feed oversized impurities, hard debris or large particles to avoid blocking the DN200 feed inlet or scratching filter plates of the equipment.
● Monitor sludge concentration; add flocculant reasonably for high-organic municipal sludge to improve filtration efficiency.
● Keep continuous and stable operation; avoid frequent start-stop which affects dewatering stability.
● Observe pressure changes and filtrate condition in real-time; stop operation immediately if leakage or abnormal pressure occurs.
● Do not touch moving parts such as pull-plate trolley, chain and gear during automatic running.
● Clean filter cloth, filter chambers and all ports of the Filter Press thoroughly after each batch to remove residual municipal sludge and organic dirt, preventing clogging and odor.
● Keep hydraulic system clean, prevent sewage from entering hydraulic oil to avoid component corrosion.
● Regularly check frame, bolts and supports; tighten loose parts to maintain structural stability of the equipment.
● Replace worn filter cloth and aging seals timely to ensure long-term stable performance of the Municipal Sewage Chamber Filter Press.
● Keep the equipment dry and ventilated; do not let corrosive sewage soak the frame for a long time.
